The lead up to your wedding day can be daunting – there is so much to do and prepare from the colour scheme to your centre pieces, your flowers to your decor, your dress to jewellery. But what about those little details, the little things you add to your day that mean so much to you, will the guests notice? Will anybody notice?
It just doesnt matter if they notice because you know you have designed them, had the idea, made them yourself and all those little details help create your beautiful wedding day.
So what are these little details that are so important? Well they will vary from wedding to wedding as it will depend on the Bride and Grooms tastes, style, sense of humour and sentimentality.
I have been to many weddings and witnessed many beautiful little details so if you are looking for ideas or inspiration keep reading!
Clare and Pete’s wedding was simple, elegant and had a dash of the vintage tea-room style spotted about.
Pretty floral patterns, delicate feathers and natural materials gave this wedding such a simplistic and elegant appearance that it needed nothing more.
I personally loved the idea of using a vintage floral cake stand to rest the roses and gypsophila on – a perfect unique choice. This wedding reception was at Burntwood Rugby Club, Burntwood in Stafforshire.
What if you are planning a fairytale themed wedding and you want that feeling of love and romance? Well I would say Claire and Ben pulled that off at their wedding in The School House, Weeford near Lichfield.
Claire loved the story of Cinderella and wanted that portrayed throughout her special day, she had taken quite some time thinking of what details she wanted at her wedding that would wow her guests.
And wow she did! These beautiful little touches around the venue were so pretty and helped set the scene.
Or how about the very pretty ornamental ducks that Kate spent considerable time on making? Its not everyday I meet a couple and they explain that they have pet ducks in the garden!
Their unique pets inspired Kate to create her own ducks as a part of each tables decorations. Each duck had a different colour or pattern and all had the table number on a heart hanging around the ducks neck.
I have been led to believe that although there were several tables with these pretty ducks on, they were such a hit that there were not many left by the end of the night!
Kates big day was at The Barns, Cannock in Staffordshire.
Whatever your details are or however you would like your wedding to look its down to you. Its your special day and its your moment so do it however you want!
I dont mind admitting I had a little Disney theme on my big day!
